Built and Maintain Business Continuity Plans

Why jeopardize the survival of the company when a Business Continuity Plan can minimize your risks ?

When the crisis occurs, it is too late to plan and implement actions to take. Only a continuity plan will enable you to respond effectively to different situations in order to protect your staff, your strategic information, your operations and ultimately ensure the survival of your organization. As a leader it is your duty and your responsibility.

Course objectives

This interactive course will allow you, as it unfolds, to build a Business Continuity Plan customized to your company and to acquire the necessary skills to keep it up to date.

Training objectives

  1. To enable you to test your plan through simulation;
  2. To enable you to familiarize your staff to their respective tasks during a crisis;
  3. To acquire the knowledge so you can adjust your plan according to the natural evolution of  your company

This course is given over a period of five (5) weeks, at the rate of 1 day a week.

Pre-requisites

Be aware of the concept of prevention and conscious as to try to establish a risk management policy within your Organization.

Key posts within the company (President, CEO, director, financial controller) or specialized managers (building managers of, security, risk, safety and health, etc.) who have excellent knowledge of the workings and business processes of the company.

Day 1: Layout of theoretical concept

  • Recovering  plan
  • Business continuity plan management
  • Business continuity program
  • Business continuity program methodology  (PCA)
  • Organizational structure of PCA
  • Preparation of a functional specifications log book

Day 2:  Analysis of strategic information

  • Critical operations for your Organization
  • The priority functions of your Organization
  • Launching of a Plan draft under supervision of a trainer

Day 3: Your plan

  • Strategy and objectives of the plan;
  • Resources required for implementing the Plan
  • Follow up of the Plan draft under supervision of a trainer.

Day 4 : Your plan (continued)

  • Vital records of your Organization ;
  • The alert procedures and implementation
  • Continuation of the plan draft under supervision of a trainer

Jour 5:  Wrapping up of the plan

  • Prepare a final plan following the analysis carried out in workshops 1 to 4
  • Organize an actual simulation exercise
